Harwich's Moore popular choice for 10th Player Award08/10/2010 3:29 PM Article By: HARWICH ----- Credit his gritty, instinctual play, to being the player his teammates could count on in a tough situation, or to his military training, but Clint Moore (ARMY) was a logical choice to receive this year’s Manny Robello 10th Player award. The award is presented each year to the player who has done more than the team has asked. As Commissioner Paul Galop noted while presenting the award, even Manny Robello, a longtime volunteer with the Cotuit Kettleers and the Cape League, would be hard-pressed to find a better candidate for the honor. “As a player and as a teammate, he shows up to the park every day and just does a positive thing for his team,” Harwich assistant coach Ryan Parker said. “It’s good to see the league celebrate a kid of such high character qualities as Clint.” |
