COTUIT, Mass. – After winning an exciting 4-2 contest at Bourne, the Western Division Champion Cotuit Kettleers host the Braves in the rubber game of the best two-out-of-three Cape Cod Baseball League’s first round of the playoffs.

The Bourne-Cotuit game will be broadcast on a special edition of the Cape League Sunday Night Game of the Week on 96.3 WEEI Cape Cod directly following the Boston Red Sox-Cleveland Indians game broadcast.

On the strength of six home runs, including two blasts by Ethan Gross (Memphis), who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, the Wareham Gatemen eliminated the Falmouth Commodores with a 20-5 pasting at Guv Fuller Field and advance to the divisional series Monday against the winner of the Bourne-Cotuit game.

Orleans swept the Eastern Division champion Harwich Mariners, two games to none with a 6-1 victory at Eldredge Park Saturday night, while Yarmouth-Dennis won its second straight game with a 7-4 win at Chatham.

The Firebirds open the Eastern Divisional playoff series against the Red Sox Monday with a 4 p.m. contest at Red Wilson Field in South Yarmouth.
