Tuesday, June 19th CCBL Round Up
Tuesday resumed a normal game schedule, featuring all ten teams after yesterday’s make-up game from a rainout earlier in the week.
Yarmouth-Dennis (2-4-2) at Brewster (2-4-1)
The Red Sox and Whitecaps tied 4-4 Tuesday afternoon. Brewster was down one in the ninth inning when Michael Massey was able to single to the shortstop and drive in the tying run. Both teams were similar in the hit column, Y-D with eight and Brewster with seven. Brewster hurt themselves with four errors in the game. The Red Sox will start Brant Hurter against Falmouth tomorrow at 6:00 PM. Brewster will pitch Reid Detmers when they host Chatham at 5:00 PM.

Bourne (4-4) at Falmouth (2-5)
Bourne was up two through six, then added another two in the seventh. Falmouth answered with two of their own in the bottom of the seventh, but it was not enough, and Bourne was able to take the victory 4-2. Bourne’s pitching was able to silence Falmouth at the plate tonight, getting a very solid outing from starter Zachary Peek. The staff struck out thirteen batters as a unit. Bourne will host Harwich and start Bryan Hoeing (1-0) at 6:00 PM. Falmouth takes on Y-D and will call on Scott Politz (0-1) to take the hill at 6:00 PM.

Cotuit (5-3) at Hyannis (4-3)
The Kettleers put together seven runs between the eighth and ninth inning, collecting ten hits in the game and scoring ten runs as they beat the Hawks 10-4. Hyannis scored three in the fifth to tie it up, but was held at bay after that. Pitcher of the Week Deacon Medders stayed hot, helping Cotuit in relief. Thomas Dillard had an incredible night in the box including a home run. Cotuit will throw Christopher Lincoln against Orleans at 5:00 PM tomorrow. Hyannis will travel to Wareham and start Mike Mokma (1-0) for the late game at 6:30 PM.

Orleans (2-5) at Harwich (5-3)
Harwich walked it off tonight, beating Orleans 4-3. Tied in the top of the eighth, Orleans was able to tie it up after a Mariner run in the bottom of the seventh. Chris Galland was able to get a hold of the last pitch of the game, a 1-0 pitch, putting it over the fence and celebrated at home plate with his teammates. Harwich’s starter Garrett Stallings threw six innings and struck out a whopping ten Harbor Hawks. Orleans will pitch Graeme Stinson tomorrow at 5:00 PM in Cotuit. Harwich will travel to Bourne and pitch Ricky DeVito at 6:00 PM.

Chatham (4-3-1) at Wareham (6-2)
Wareham has arguably been the hottest team in the league, with a league-high ten points. They were able to continue rolling with a 6-3 victory over Chatham Tuesday night. The Gatemen was able to scrap together twelve hits on the night, and held the Anglers to four hits. Wareham put together four doubles in the game, wearing down Chatham’s pitching. Chatham goes to Brewster at 5:00 PM and will start Davis Daniel. Wareham hosts Hyannis and will start Connor Lunn at 6:30 PM.
