The Cape Cod Baseball League documentary “Touching the Game: The Story of the Cape Cod Baseball League” will be rebroadcast on WGBH in Boston at 1 p.m. on Nov. 13.

The program is re-launching after a six-year absence. The DVD is also available for $19.95 on touchingthegame.com/cape in a 2-disc package deal.

Produced by Fields of Vision, the documentary DVD will contain an extended version of the film and many extras pulled from over 70 hours of footage the crew shot last summer. The documentary also includes extensive interviews with league officials, players, managers, fans and over 60 current Major Leaguers who played on the Cape, mostly interviewed during spring training.

This is a great opportunity to listen to former Cape League players such as Jason Varitek, Nomar Garciaparra, and Mo Vaughn. The movie brings the league full circle, describing the Cape and its scenery, and even bringing viewers into a Cape Leaguer’s everyday life. It details how Cape League players and coaches overcame adversity to make to the major leagues. "Touching the Game" is an extraordinary film documentary.
