Two Added to All-Star Rosters

Commissioner Paul Galop has announced the addition of two players to the 2006 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game rosters. Eddie Kunz, a pitcher from the Falmouth Commodores and NCAA national champion Oregon State Beavers, has been selected to the West squad, while pitcher Paul Koss of the Chatham A’s and the USC Trojans has been selected to the East squad. “Both of these pitchers are outstanding candidates and are very worthy of this honor. Each year during the selection process we discuss candidates with our scouts from professional baseball, and these two players have been highly recommended by these scouts,” said Galop.

The addition of these two players make for a total of 52 players that will take part in the 44th Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game, presented by the leading banks of Cape Cod: Bank of America, TD Banknorth, Cape Cod Five Charitable Foundation and Sovereign Bank. Also sponsoring the game are Cape Cod Cooperative Bank, The Community Bank and Citizens Bank.

The game will be played on Saturday, July 29 at Red Wilson Field in South Yarmouth, home of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. Gates open at 11:00 a.m., with the Baseball Factory Home Run Hitting Contest slated for 2:30 p.m. and the first pitch at 4:05 p.m.
