Baseball is America’s pastime, and the Cape League was in action with three games played on the fourth.

Harwich (10-10-1): 8 at Brewster (4-15-2): 1

The Mariner’s six run fifth inning played the biggest role for their 8-1 victory. It started with a double from Danny Casals who was driven in thanks to a single from Matt Gorski. Chris Galland drove in a run in response to an error by Brewster pitcher Reid Detmers. An Aaron Schunk single drove in two, followed by an Andre Lipcius two RBI double. Harwich’s defense held Brewster to just a run in the bottom of the fifth. They managed to tack on one in the seventh and ninth to seal the win.
