They collected five hits including a base clearing double from Noah Campbell to score the final three runs of the nine. The rally was started by a two-run single from Nick Quintana. They tacked on another run in the fifth inning, and the Y-D staff was able to hold the Anglers to just a run to earn the victory on Sunday evening.

This proved to be the difference in the ball game, as Falmouth scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, and both teams scored a run each in the seventh inning. The Brave’s Anthony Prato was able to single in a run to take a 3-1 lead, but Kyle Stowers hit a solo homer in the bottom half of the inning to cut the deficit to one run. But, it wasn’t enough to catch Bourne.

Wareham got that run back in the top of the third, but the Hawks scored another in the third, followed by two in the fourth. The Gatemen were able to score two in the fifth to make it 4-3, but Hyannis negated it with two of their own. The Gatemen then scored two in the sixth to gain ground again, making it 6-5.
