The Cape Cod Baseball League’s 2022 season came to a conclusion last week, and the year was certainly full of memories. The Bourne Braves ultimately emerged as the champions, defeating the Brewster Whitecaps in a sweep in the finals. As the season comes to an end, it’s time to look at Championship Series Star, presented by National Grid.

Bryce Eblin earned this summer’s Playoff MVP Award, batting .458 for Bourne in the postseason. Eblin set the table for the Braves on their way to the title, hitting .625 during the Championship Finals. The Alabama middle infielder also scored five times, drove in a run, and swiped three bags for the Bravos during their playoff run. In the clinching game against Brewster, Eblin cemented his case for the Playoff MVP, delivering a 4-5 performance as the leadoff man, scoring twice, and stealing a base.
