Cape League Baseball Returns to Hartford & Worcester in 2023

Cape Cod, MA – The Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) will be returning to Hartford, CT and Worcester, MA during the 2023 season for a pair of games.

The Hyannis Harbor Hawks will face the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox at 11:00am on July 26th at Dunkin’ Donuts Park, home of the Hartford Yard Goats.

It will mark the fourth ever Cape League game played at Dunkin’ Donuts Park, and the second consecutive year Yarmouth-Dennis and Hyannis will participate in the Connecticut Cape Cod Classic.

“The Hyannis Harbor Hawks are so excited to be returning to Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford, CT again this year,” said Dan Johnson, President of the Harbor Hawks. “It is the jewel ballpark of minor league baseball. The Yard Goats made us all feel so welcome, and it is such a thrill for our players, coaching staff, and interns to be able to experience a game at their facility. It will definitely be a highlight of our season.”

The Wareham Gatemen will face the Bourne Braves at 6:45pm on July 31st at Polar Park, home of the Worcester Red Sox.

It will mark the second consecutive season the Gatemen have hosted the Braves at Polar Park, which opened in May of 2021.

The two Cape League games at minor league ballparks drew a combined attendance of over 4,100 fans in 2022.

“These games are a phenomenal opportunity for the Cape Cod Baseball League to continue expanding our fanbase into two premier minor league baseball markets,” said Michael Lane, Director of Public Relations for the CCBL.

Ticket information for the two games will be available at later dates this spring. The full 2023 Cape League schedule will be announced Monday, January 23rd.
