Baseball Season’s Greetings !

CAPE COD, Mass. – In May 2002, the Cape Cod Baseball League started the process to create a unique automobile license plate to be issued by the Massachusetts Department of Motor Vehicles that would directly benefit our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Cape League is run by a small army of volunteers top to bottom.

Several hundred friends and fans of the league from throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts heard of our effort and made commitments to be among the first to proudly display the special license plates after the criteria was met.

The good news is the Legislative hurdles have been crossed and now we will begin working with the Registry of Motor Vehicles, Department of Public Safety and the 3M Corporation that produces the “picture” on the license plate.

During this month, we will provide updates as to where we are in this “middle stage” of the Cape Cod Baseball League license plate creation. What an exciting adventure! We look forward to having you along for the fun of it !

There is no avoiding the fact we need to have in hand 1,500 commitments for the new CCBL license plates before any significant steps can be taken. For that reason, we urge you and yours to mention the CCBL initiative and have them consider being one of the first to jump on board !
