Outfielder / First basemen Darin Erstad was the Cape League MVP in 1994. He played two seasons with the Falmouth Commodores and went first overall in the 1995 amateur draft. Darin spent ten seasons with the LA Angels 1996 - 2006, then White Sox 2007 and Houston Astros 2008 - 2009. During the 2000 MLB season, Darin hit a career high 25 home runs and finished 2nd in the American League batting race with a .355 batting average. In January 2002, Darin was inducted into the Cape Cod Baseball Hall of Fame. |
