Peter Gammons Award of Excellence and Distinction - RogersGray Insurance

Founded in 1906, in Orleans with 2 people, RogersGray has grown in over 117 years to 12 locations and over 260 people working with personal and commercial clients across all 50 states. Connecting nationally as a member of Baldwin Risk Partners, but keeping their local ties with community involvement, RogersGray encourages their employees to pursue their volunteer time with local organizations. One such example was with their employee of 40 years, Jim Higgins, giving him the opportunity to pursue volunteer time with Cape Cod Baseball League. Jim served as a long-time volunteer to the CCBL in various capacities for decades, leading to the honor of becoming a Hall of Fame member this year. Lending what Jim preached to his colleagues, ‘always do the right thing’, this continues to help build and strengthen the strong family-like culture that remains at the company today. Their continuing support to the Cape League helps allow the league and it’s fans to continue enjoying the best summer baseball experience.

Fred Ebbett Lifetime Achievement Award - Jeanette Lumb

Over the years, Jeanette has been involved with the Harwich Mariners in many capacities. Starting as a game-day intern working in concessions, then selling merchandise and 50/50 tickets, each year her responsibilities continued to grow. She became the administrative contact for the youth baseball clinic, as well as involving players in community events, such as library readings and local nursing home visits. In 2016, Jeanette became Vice President of the Harwich Mariners and continues to serve in that position. Jeanette has also been involved with the Cape Cod Baseball League, volunteering at numerous All-Star games, as well as the annual Hall of Fame festivities. Before she became an official member of the Hall of Fame committee, she would help research, prepare and set up a variety of events surrounding the ceremony, which she still continues to do today. When the opportunity arose, Jeanette was appointed Curator of the CCBL Hall of Fame and looks forward to creating exhibits in a future home.

Richard “Dick” Sullivan Executive of the Year Award - Tom Crane

Tom can often be seen at Spillane Field in Wareham, surrounded by a crowd behind the backstop, making everyone laugh. Tom does that and so much more for the Wareham franchise, where he’s been involved for over 15 years as the heart and soul of the Gatemen organization. He has been instrumental in assisting the Wareham Gatemen, and other franchises who have hosted the annual All-Star game, in preparations with parking, security, permits, and other myriad tasks, ensuring sponsors and volunteers are well taken care of during the day. An integral part of the Wareham Gatemen and the Cape Cod Baseball League, Tom does it all, with great organization skills and equal boundless aplomb.
